1989 lesabre Window hard to roll up and down

I have a white 1989 Buick Lesabre custom. The front two windows are hard to roll up or down. They are manual crank, not motorized.
I did some research and I found out the problem is common and can usually be fixed by replacing the regulator tape/ribbon. I replaced the tape/ribbon on the driver's window and it worked pretty well for a while.
Then I noticed it starting to get harder to roll up and down again. I decided it needed some lubrication. I sprayed wd-40 on the metal track that the tape/ribbon slides in. I also sprayed it on any other parts that moved when rolling the window up and down. This made it work almost perfectly.
Now it rolled up/down fine until the window reached the halfway up/halfway down position. It then got hard to roll the window past that point. Once I got the window past that halfway point, it would become easy to roll up/down the window again.
When I looked to see what was causing it to do that, I saw that the metal track was “bent” slightly. I tried rolling the window up/down again (with the door panel off so I could see the moving parts), I found that it started getting hard when the end of the tape/ribbon approached the “bend”. Once past it, the window rolled up/down easy again.
How do I fix this problem? If I can repair the metal track, how do I? I do have a parts car I can get one from if I need to.
Thanks,
buickdriver
