Water in Oil! *)($%#@!

Well fellows, i guess this is it for me.
After replacing the radiator-coolant sensor and flushing system. I drove the
century around for a couple of days. Even drove it on a 400 mile trip.

Well i checked the fluids and noticed no water/antifreeze in radiator?
then i checked the oil and the oil was almost coming out of the dipstick holder.

So i drained the oil and it filled the oil pan. Whick normally holds enough oil for two oil changes.

Looks like i have a bad head gasket or cracked head!

This is it for me. Im putting a 500.00 for sale sign on the buick and moving on.

Personally what a piece of JUNK! Nothing but troubles from the day my dad
bought the car new!

AND GM WONDERS WHY THE SUCK!
If you live in texas and want the car shoot me a email. the car looks brand new. It has new radiator-cooling sensor-alternator-tires-power steering rack-pump. Tune up and more.

thanks for the all the info.. god bless and good luck with all your gm products.

Re: Water in Oil! *)($%#@!

did you replace the LIM? I love these posts that bash a brand in general because they have issues that are most likely from a lack of Preventative maintenance :\

Matt, got a question: just when did PM ever include replacing an intake manifold gasket? That ain't PM, that's poor design, IMO, even if it's a freebie by the dealer, which it sure isn't.

Re: Water in Oil! *)($%#@!

When the problem was first noticed, it should have been properly diagnosed and repaired then. One that knows there is a problem, then continues to operate the vehicle, is asking for more problems. When a vehicle is maintained properly, the fluids levels are checked and the vehicle is inspected for leaks. This would have prevented what had happened. These engines are known to puke lower intake gaskets and head gaskets. Proper maintenance will keep these engines going for 300,000 + miles. My last 4 cars had the 3.1L and had over 200,000 miles. They lasted this long because they were maintained properly, and repaired when coolant levels dropped, leaks were detected, or coolant smell when engine running.
